2003 meets 1987 - TMNT 25th anniversary special

Yes, it appears that 4Kids entertainment is developing a direct-to-DVD special (which will actually be premiered later this month at the San Diego Comic Con, but will release later this year). The plot? Details are sketchy at the moment, but it's been confirmed that it will have the Turtles from the recently canceled series that began in 2003, meeting up with their counterparts in the original cartoon that started in 1987. Yes, that means for the first time in more than a decade, Rocksteady and Bebop shall be seen in animated form.

4Kids' website has some teaser posts intermixed with other concept art on their "Back to the Sewer" blog. Some of the teaser images have been deliberately scrambled to appear as a glitch of some sort.

25th anniversary teaser posts update normally on Wednesdays, with other posts on Saturdays (and the standard blog on Thursdays).
